Background
In 1991 Stuart McPartland left college to begin work at Wigwam Acoustic Ltd. After developing a knowledge base of acoustic and servicing experience, he successfully undertook the expansion of the radio mic department. In 2000 Stuart decided to leave Wigwam and concentrate on the corporate side of the industry, on a freelance basis.
Clients
Stuart works for a selection of prestigious sound companies that include, Audiotech, Audio Alliance, Tube UK, Stage Electrics and Wigwam Acoustics. Through these organisations he undertakes engineering jobs for multi national companies such as: Levi, Clarks, Reebok, Orange, Vodafone, Astrazeneca, Pfizer and Roche.
Charlie Jones "a colleague, friend and mentor"
SSR & Wigwam Acoustics are proud to announce the launch of the Charlie Jones Scholarship .
Charlie Jones (1955-2006) was one of the sound industry's most experienced and best loved 'live event' engineers. Looked up to by all, Charlie worked alongside Wigwam Acoustics for over 20 years. In conjunction with them, a scholarship has been created in his memory and honour. There will be one scholarship place per intake of the Audio Engineering Course (intakes are every six months). Scholarship places are funded by Helen Jones, Wigwam and SSR, on a rotational basis. The scholarship is intended for those who have limited financial resources and would otherwise not be able to afford this training.
